


It is the more local beach, not the tourist-packed one you saw when you arrived. The first thing I remember him saying is: you will go to Fornillo Beach. We were on a month long trip visiting more cities and towns than I can remember, so our plans were more or less to play it by ear. When we first arrived at Dimora del Podesta, Elia, one of the brothers who runs it and has since become a friend of mine, asked us our Positano itinerary.

It was mid July, and the weather that year was abnormally hot. I started visiting Positano way back in 2015. Visiting the beaches in Positano and along the Amalfi Coast is one of the best Positano things to do! Depending on how many days you have in town, I’d plan to spend at least one full day at one of the options below.
